Basics of Blacksmithing
09 12 07 - 12 12 07

We started with four students, but Cindy had to drop out after developing tennis elbow (We hope to have her back in a few months and see if she can continue smithing, she was doing quite well). Andy, Chris, and Graham soldiered on and each made:
chisel & punch (hardened and tempered
Tongs (tong halves, rivet, drift for rivet hole)
sharp right-angle bend
welded flux spoon
long cooking fork
animal heads (using the chisel and punch)
matching 'S' - scrolls
collars to hold them together
candlestick
