Fixing Day
A time to fix and fettle new and old tools

We're going to take some time to work on the Bin of Broken Tools.

We'll be re-wedging and re-handling hammers, re-dressing punches and chisels, de-rusting, repairing, repurposing, tweaking, fiddling, and fettling as needed.

If you know what you're doing, great, we need you.
If you don't know what you're doing, great, we'll fix that too, but we are looking for some amount of smithing ability walking in (see the pre-requisite below).

Session length is variable, see the dates below.    dates&times

Instructor: PHF Staff
There is no fee. If you want to bring (gluten-free) noshes, that's cool. per student
4 or 5 people at a time is probably as many as we can fit

Yes, really, we're still asking for it in 2024.
It's still out there, and no fun at all.

The fixers should have a fair amount of experience at PHF.
At least Rudiments II
Having taken Rudiments V would be good.

Please wear proper clothing for visiting or working in the forge:
closed toe shoes (preferably leather, preferably high-topped. Sneakers are sufficient, sandals, crocs, pumps, mules... are not), natural fiber clothing, long pants that cover the tops of the shoes.
