Remote Private Class
We bring the smithy to you

We bring one of our mobile smithing set-ups, all materials and safety gear to your place and set up outside.
(We have a decent fly for cover in the event of rain or excessive sun)

We can arrange to do any of our usual classes, from A Taste of Blacksmithing to The DIY Off-the-Grid Guerilla Patternwelded Billet or a class/lesson/session to suit the student(s) needs, interests, and abilities.

With one forge we can accommodate one or two students who are from the same epidemiologic unit. It is possible to bring an additional forge for additional students (see below).

Most aspects of this experience are negotiable.

$100 base fee + $100/hr, 2 hours minimum
Additional forges $100 per student
Maximum 4 students

Prerequisite:

Required: A rapid Covid test that day.
Yes, really, we're still asking for it in 2024.
It's still out there, and no fun at all.

The space to set up will have good ventilation and be at least 10' from any building.
Electrical power will not be required.
An accessible water spigot is required, ideally with a hose to reach the work area.
Students and onlookers will be properly masked and reasonably distanced (6') or if unmasked, at least 12' away from the instructor.
Students will not be displaying Covid symptoms.

Please wear proper clothing for visiting or working in the forge:
closed toe shoes (preferably leather, preferably high-topped. Sneakers are sufficient, sandals, crocs, pumps, mules... are not), natural fiber clothing, long pants that cover the tops of the shoes.
