Twisting the Afternoon Away
Part of our
Sundays at the Forge series

The twist is a very common ornament in blacksmithing, largely because the aesthetic return for your labor investment is huge.

We'll talk about how and why twisting does what it does and how heat, cross section, size, and interruptions affect how stock twists. Then we'll play with as many variations as the class can come up with.

Gift Certificates for Twisting the Afternoon Away are available.

It's still out there, and no fun at all.

Previous smithing experience is not required, but will be beneficial.

Please wear proper clothing for visiting or working in the forge:
closed toe shoes (preferably leather, preferably high-topped. Sneakers are sufficient, sandals, crocs, pumps, mules... are not), natural fiber clothing, long pants that cover the tops of the shoes.
