Toilet Paper Holder In this class we will make a toilet paper holder in a sinuous yet simple organic motif. The design has no moving parts, there is no spring-loaded bit to break or get lost. (The student should take a few minutes before the class with a piece of paper and try a few variations on the design in the picture. Think in terms of a gently curving line with a small leaf at the end.) The techniques learned in this class can be used in subsequent classes* or Open Shop time to make variants on the motif or design. Techniques: hacksawing, drawing-out, forging a simple leaf, bending, twisting, scrolling, stepping-down, punching and/or drilling. "A Taste of Blacksmithing" or equivalent hammerskill required. *There will be classes aimed at producing towel holders and paper-towel holders to match this project.
