Towel Racks and Paper Holders In this class we will make a suite of a towel, paper towel, and toilet paper holders in a sinuous yet simple organic motif. The design has no moving parts, there is no spring-loaded bit to break or get lost. If you have specific design ideas or needs, please bring measurements and pictures with you to class. (The student should take a few minutes before the class with a piece of paper and try a few variations on the designs in the pictures. Think in terms of a gently curving line with a simple finial at the end.) Techniques: hacksawing, drawing-out, forging a simple leaf, bending, twisting, scrolling, stepping-down, punching and/or drilling. "A Taste of Blacksmithing" or equivalent hammerskill required, more is better. *There will be classes aimed at producing towel holders and paper-towel holders to match this project.
